Comprehensive College and Career Preparation Program

Leadership U

Looking to give your students the best possible chance at success?

The Leadership Program's Leadership U. curriculum program is the answer.

Our comprehensive, equitably designed program for students in grades 4-12 complements the academic groundwork laid by educators, and prepares students for post-secondary life with skills and experiences essential for success in the 21st century world. Our scaffolded approach ensures that students receive grade-level-appropriate preparation and support, with curriculum manuals for each stage of learning.

But what sets Leadership U. apart? Definitive research shows that to succeed in whichever path young people choose, effective social and emotional skills are a more powerful indicator of career and life success than academic achievement. That's why our program emphasizes the development of resilience, growth mindset, compassion, goal setting, conflict management, optimism, and openness to new experiences - the key to a student's ability to be accepted to and thrive in college right through to graduating, and to make their way confidently through their chosen career.

We start planting the seeds of college-as-a-viable-option in fourth grade because we know that early and ongoing preparation is a critical element in increasing the likelihood that students of color and those from low-income communities will attend college, and in improving the prospect that all students will thrive in college and beyond. And while we believe in the value of a college degree, we recognize that it may not be right for everyone - that's why we also offer students information on various career paths and empower them to pursue any of the post-high school options available to fulfill their dreams.

Through our program, participants are introduced to Leadership's proven-effective approach to enrichment and social and emotional learning development, which has been implemented in thousands of classrooms for hundreds of thousands of students. With our comprehensive content and emphasis on skills essential for success, students will cultivate their sense of self, express themselves with confidence, and develop the skills, perseverance, and optimism which will lead them into brighter futures than they could have envisioned for themselves before.

Invest in your students' success with Leadership U. - the program that prepares them for life beyond the classroom.
